The foods offered In India are very sophisticated kinds. These foods are offered mainly on the Punjabi region in the north, but if you visit other places south, east and west India, you will have different types of dishes which are mostly vegetarian but can also include meat of chicken, lamb, fish, and goat.

Sherry is their most famous national drink but they also have many excellent wines. Made in Jerez, sherry is wine fortified with brandy. Sangria is also popular which is an inexpensive red wine with added spices, spirits and fruit, a bit like punch.

Mexican cooking has a touch of Spanish cooking in it. Mexicans are very fond of wrapped dishes in tacos or tortillas made from flour based breads. Guacamole is a famous Mexican dip made from avocados mashed with oil and garlic.

Pasta and pizza are the foods that identify Italy. Pizza was the traditional lunchtime for laborers in the fields. Each village used to have its open brickwork pizza oven and you could see women returning from the woods with baskets full of mushrooms to make the delicious pizza al funghi. Italy boasts of having 300 varieties of sausage to choose from and 400 cheeses. Their cooking is one of the most ancient cuisines in the world.

If you go to the Middle East, their cooking is a combination of Mediterranean and eastern with emphasis on warming spices like cinnamon. In these countries, you eat appetizers, dips, and pickles with delicious breads. They are fond of lentils and chick peas and salads with very little meat.

Thai cooking uses lemon grass and lime juice to create delicate and subtle flavors. Bitter, sweet, hot, and sour flavors are combined in their foods. Thais are known for their fish sauce and they use a lot of noodles when cooking.

Sushi rice and fish dishes are famous in Japan. Here you will also taste a lot of sweet and rice based recipes and soya bean products and recipes.
