The word om means to unify you with creation and the divine. Om is actually a symbol. In order to help connect you during meditation practice the word om is mentioned repeatedly. When you meditate, there are many different forms that you can use. Using mala beads in your meditation is one of its forms. Some include guided practice and quiet, inward solo intention. Meditation takes many forms and there is really no wrong way to meditate. Yoga and meditation will help connect you further to your understanding.

Sanskrit names are also used to describe the different types of yoga classes. You should learn these names so that you will know what you are going to get.

In the Vinyasa class, you use mostly flowing movements. In the Vinyasa class sun salutations are used which are actually asana movements.

Kundalini is another yoga style. This class will focus on breathwork, asanas, mediation, and spiritual connection. It is more than just poses.

Bikram yoga is something that will make you sweat. It is more of physical workouts done in this type of yoga class that turns up the heat.

The desire to learn more is the most important element practice. If you want to make a deeper connection to all the things you care about, then you have to keep an open heart and an open mind.
